Legacy
SPDS has been a part of the Eagan community since 1992. We celebrated our 33rd recital in 2025! In that time, we have grown to become one of the top studios in the country! We pride ourselves on providing a fun, encouraging and inclusive environment while maintaining structure and proper technique training. Dancers start their dance careers here and grow with us to become confident young adults.
What sets us apart is our in-house costume maker, Sew Unique Dance Costumes. Owner Laura Heisch is known for creating stunning, custom-made pieces that blend artistry and functionality. With her deep understanding of movement and performance, Laura crafts each costume to not only dazzle on stage but also support the dancer’s freedom and comfort. From intricate embellishments and bold color palettes to elegant lines and fabric flair, every detail is tailored to bring our choreography to life.

We have been a Spotlight Productions Dance Studio family since 2016 and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else! Brittany and Alyse create a sense of family and community in everything they do. They amaze us every year with their vision, stage productions, costuming and special unique touches incorporated throughout the year.
